At Prodigy Analytics we develop data for use within the emerging industry of eSports and gaming. We provide insight into how players can improve performance and results in competitive events by using the data we generate through our proprietary programs and models. Esports, still being in their relative infancy, have tended to rely on surface level analytics and player intuition to assess performance and ways to improve. We at Prodigy Analytics aim to bring Esports in line with the more mainstream sporting leagues by incorporating detailed analytics into player performance; to statistically improve competitive gaming.
Our initial endeavors have been developing analytics to use in Fortnite competitive events, but plan to branch out into the other major competitive games as well (CS:GO, OWL, LoL, etc.). Our data is generated through the analysis of over 42 in game variables, 30,000 players, and across more than 1 million games. All of the data we use is sourced directly from the individual game replay files to ensure accuracy. We also have detailed player rankings based on several factors, as well as performance indicators relative to the players peers down to a game-by-game basis.
The benefits of our analytics reach beyond the apparent improved play and placement in events, and can help to build the players (and teams) branding as well. We have compiled a database that tracks how tournament performance impacts player following across the major social media platforms.
